      Instituted to the Rectory of Kedleston, Derby, May 3, 1695. Presented the living of Preston May 6, 1700, Which he resigned to his son in 1727. Received the Wardenship of the Collegiate Church of Manchester Feb 16, 1715

      Consecrated on April 12, 1726 at St. Margaret's, Westminster as Lord Bishop of Chester
