Richard is a miner and living with his family on South St. In 1871, Richard is a Marine store dealer and living with his wife and son Daniel next to his son Samuel on Ebenezer St. In 1881, Richard was widowed, living with his son's family in West Bromwich and employed as a Marine Store Dealer. His marriage record gives the surname as Pepler but the census has Peplow. Surname also spelled Pepler on 1881 census The 1861, census also identifies his birthplace as Shifnal which coincides with the Christening.
