Welcome, Sandra--add yourself to the many Peplow descendants that frequent this site. If you don't mind, I will post your original email
asking for information and perhaps someone will see a connection before I am able to post the Peplow data from Ruegen: "I am trying to
find information on the following families from the Island of Ruegen. I believe that my great grandfather, Frederick PAEPLOW (PAPLOW)
was born 9 Sep 1859 in Neuenkirchen, Ruegen to Christopher and Marie PAEPLOW (I do not know Marie's maiden name). Frederick
had a brother Christopher that I believe stayed in Germany when most of the family came to the U.S. in 1882 and settled in Buffalo and
Rochester, New York. Frederick also had a brother Charles (b. May 1850), sister Johanna (b. Jan 1852) and sister Emma (Erna)
Karoline Christine (b. 9 Sep 1856). When they came to the U.S. Johanna was already married to Charles THEES (b. Aug 1853) and had
2 children, Charles and Martha and Emma was married to Karl Friedrich Magnus PETERS (b. 21 Feb 1854 in Varnkevitz, Ruegen) and
had 3 children, Erna, Bertha & Otto. I would appreciate any assistance in finding information on this family in Germany. Sandy Luss
