Oliver M. Peppler, 93, of Bethel Township, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, in the
Kittanning Care Center, Kittanning. Born April 11, 1918, in Bethel Township, he
was the son of the late Charles and Vera Knepshield Peppler and had lived in in
the area all of his life. He had been employed by Wean United Vandergrift as a
molder prior to retiring in 1979 after 30 years of employment. Oliver was a member of the Cochran's Mills Methodist Church. He enjoyed cutting firewood and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Susie D. Peppler, of Bethel Township; a daughter,
Grace (Jerry) Riley, of Danielsville, Ga.; and a sister, Rosemary Cook. In addition
to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Peppler. Family and
friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Friday in
the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, with
the Rev. Greg Indahl officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Bethel Township
