  • Notes 
    • William was the founder of the Peplow Jewellers in Shropshire and Worcestershire.
      In 1812, William was a private in the 90th regiment of foot serving in Ireland. This is where he met Catherine.
      In 1814, William gave up smoking and took the pledge in 1847.
      In 1818, he was discharged from the army in Chatham. He and Cate traveled by canal with three children to Wellington where he set up as a watch and clockmaker.
      In 1821, William was living with his wife, four children and servant, Mary Weston at Watling St.
      In 1828, the family moved to 92 New St.
      In 1841, William was living at 92 New St. with his wife and all their children except Sophia, Hannah, Catherine Anne and Sarah
      In 1856, William move his family and business to Shifnal
      In 1861, William is listed as a Watch Maker and living with his wife, son Francis and grandson Edward Mallard in market Place
      In 1871, William is a Clock and watch maker and living with his wife and one servant in Market Square
      In 1881, William was widowed and living with a housekeeper on Market Street. He was still working as a clock and watch maker
      In 1891, William is a retired watchmaker living on Aston Street with one servant
